Why is vertical alignment not working in the last column of my PDF table?

I’m facing an issue where the content in the last column of my PDF table is not aligning vertically as expected. I need to identify the cause and fix it so all columns have consistent alignment.

This issue usually happens due to limitations in the PDF rendering engine or incorrect table styling.

Common causes:

  • The last column has different content length or HTML structure
  • Missing or unsupported CSS (like vertical-align) in the PDF generator
  • Use of block elements (<div>, <p>) inside table cells
  • Fixed height or inconsistent cell padding

Fix:

  • Use simple table structure with <table>, <tr>, <td>
  • Apply inline CSS: vertical-align: middle; on all <td>
  • Avoid complex HTML inside cells
  • Keep content structure consistent across all columns

PDF engines don’t fully support all CSS, so simpler layouts give better alignment results.
